Andy was on fall break for the first part of this week, so I took Monday off and we went to visit his family that lives outside of Louisville, a little less than 4 hours away from us. It was the first time we’ve left town since school started, so it was nice to get away for a little while. I started taking pictures pretty late in the visit, so I don’t actually have any pictures of the family that we went out there to see, but you’ll just have to take my word for it that they were there. 😉
{pretty}
We went to a farm on Sunday afternoon and it looked so pretty and festive for fall.

On Monday, we went to the Louisville Zoo. My favorite animals to watch were the penguins and the tortoise. We waited for about 20 minutes just to watch him move. Most of the time he was just laying there like you see in the picture.

As in, that really is a giraffe behind him. We were able to get even closer to them at one point and I realized that I did not appreciate how tall giraffes are. They are SO tall! After seeing them, I wondered why God would make creatures with really long legs and necks. I still don’t know why, but I’m glad He did! 🙂
Much Love,
Sarah
So glad you guys had a fun break and had a chance to visit with family. Nothing better than a trip to the zoo!!
