Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow

Wow! When I initially began writing this post yesterday evening, I was excited about all of the ways that I could see God bringing things together for me. I could not have anticipated how many blessings I would have to write about today. As you may be able to tell, life has taken an overall upswing since I last blogged.

On Tuesday, I was able to hang out with my upstairs neighbors. One of them recommended that I apply at the library because she knew the library is hiring. At lunch on Wednesday, my roommate mentioned to her fiance (who works at the library) that I was planning to go over to apply that afternoon. He then volunteered to take me over there and introduce me to people. Although all I did during my visit on Wednesday was turn in my application, I felt really good about the whole thing. It just felt like something that God was putting together. Then, today when my roommate’s fiance came over for lunch, he asked me when I wanted to start working. Although he was joking, I did get an interview for tomorrow morning! Praise the Lord! Needless to say, I am very hopeful about this opportunity. Even if it doesn’t result in a job, what has happened so far has been a really good reminder that God is watching over me.

There are several other ways that I have been reminded of how I take the goodness and faithfulness of God for granted recently, but I’m going to write about them later. I want to get to bed so that I can be fresh for my interview in the morning. :-D! I’ll leave you with a song that I sang for the first time at Grace Baptist yesterday, and I have been meditating on ever since. I just think the lyrics paint a beautiful picture of the way we should be.

Much Love,
Sarah

  1. […] I’ve contemplated what I could write about to describe what it has been like since we’ve been in Pikeville, but I realized that the feelings I would describe would be pretty similar to what I wrote about two years ago when I moved to  Wake Forest. I feel like I could write posts similar to this one or this one about the really good but also hard things that come with moving to a new place and starting over. Hopefully one day soon I’ll also be able to write a post like this one. […]

  2. Hi Little Sister,
Harriett and I will be praying specifically about your appointment. We know you will present your best face to God and trust in what he has for you.

And, thanks for the song — Harriett and I are listening to it now just before we turn out the lights. A nice postscript to the day.

LP, Waller Mill Bible, and Liberty in Lenexa hosted a meal and luau for the J-1’s at Pineapple Inn tonight. A whole lot of young people there from China, Turkey, Bulgaria, Usbekistan, etc. We roasted a pig and also had grilled chicken. Great, wonderful, blessed time. Ran into Jeff Buffkin and we talked about the 7th. We are both pleased to be able to participate in your special time.

See you on the 7th — Do you best this morning and see what God will do!

In the love of Christ Jesus,
    Del & Harriett
